With summer season almost upon us, are you determined to shape up in time for the sun coming out?
Zumba® Fitness classes are an increasingly popular way to get fit and we thought we would treat you to short video guides to help you master some of the steps.
If you have been following Zumba Education Specialist Donna Giffen’s guides so far, you will be a whizz at the warm-up and have the basic merengue under your belt.
Now it’s time to step it up a gear and get cha cha cha-ing to the merengue mambo.
In the video player above, Donna demonstrates the mambo, showing you how to add an ab crunch and work that tummy.
The important thing to remember about Zumba® Fitness is that you don’t have to be a master of dance or the king or queen of co-ordination to work out.
As Donna explains, it’s about adding your own ‘flavour’ to the basic steps.
Fire up the computer and get moving to the mambo in your living room and make sure you do it with a smile on your face!
When exercising, always include a five minute warm up and cool down, and finish with some stretches for the main muscle groups including the legs, chest, back and arms.
