Can you believe it’s almost Christmas? It’s time to get moving!
Zumba® Fitness classes are an increasingly popular way to exercise and our short video guides are here to help you master some of the Zumba steps.
Before you get ready to salsa, make sure you do a five minute warm-up. You can watch a warm-up guide here.
Today Zumba Education Specialist Donna Giffen demonstrates how to master the basic salsa.
The important thing to remember about Zumba® Fitness is that you don’t have to be a dance master or the king or queen of co-ordination to work out.
As Donna explains, it’s about adding your own ‘flavour’ to the basic steps.
The video above shows how to work on a dance version of the salsa and a fitness version complete with squat.
Donna has also demonstrated how to perfect the merengue and the cumbia, so you’re sure to be the star pupil at your Zumba® Fitness class.
Post exercise, remember to cool down and finish with some stretches for the main muscle groups including legs, chest back and arms.
