Britain's Got Talent boss Simon Cowell has revealed that he is going to offer a record contract to Susan Boyle.
The 48-year-old became a global phenomenon after the clip of her audition performance was broadcast seven weeks ago but she lost out to the dance troupe Diversity in the final.
But an insider told The People that she will shortly be offered a lucrative recording contract with Simon Cowell's SyCo label.
A source said: "Cowell still sees massive potential in Susan and will make her a global superstar.
"It wouldn't be surprising if there was a single released before the end of the summer."
Simon told Susan after her performance of "I Dreamed A Dream" that she was a gutsy performer.
He said: "Win or lose, you had the guts to come back here tonight, face your critics - and you beat them.
"Whatever happens, you can walk away from this with your head held high."
