Britain's Got Talent youngster praises Susan Boyle

Britain's Got Talent's young singing sensation Shaheen Jafargholi has said that he was "impressed" by Susan Boyle's audition performance for the show.

The youngster, who many claim will challenge Boyle for this year's title, told The Sun that Susan was "amazing"

Shaheen said: "Susan's performance was amazing. I couldn't believe how impressive she was."

Show bosses have revealed that more than 13.5 million viewers saw Shaheen receiving a standing ovation from the Cardiff audience for his performance of the Jackson 5 hit "Who's Loving You" on Saturday night.

This was an increase of two million from the previous week and the biggest audience for a TV show so far this year.

Viewers saw Cowell bring a premature halt to the youngster's performance of The Zutons hit "Valerie" and ask Shaheen to perform an alternative song.

Shaheen revealed that he was disappointed as he had been working on the song for several months.

Shaheen said: "I was devastated. Valerie means so much to me and my family.

"I may be young but I'm so focused on what I want to do. I won't end up doing drugs or drinking or anything bad like that. I won't get any bad habits."

He added: "Girls will have a part in my life but not for a while."
