Fountain says he will beat Ray Quinn in Dancing on Ice

Former Dancing on Ice star Chris Fountain has vowed that he will defeat Ray Quinn.

The Hollyoaks star and Quinn will clash when they compete in the Dancing on Ice nationwide tour which starts in April.

The 21-year-old actor has said that he is going to beat Ray and has reportedly spent many hours on the ice to get back to top form.

Chris was last year's favourite to win the Dancing on Ice crown until he lost out to Suzanne Shaw.

Fountain told The Star that he has been keenly watching the progress of this year's celebrity skaters.

He said: "Ray's very good, but the battle is on

"Hopefully I'll be the overall winner at the end."

However, he may find it hard to beat Ray.

Jason Gardiner told The Sun that Quinn has returned to his best and was "unstoppable".

He said: "I think Ray Quinn is amazing. The boy is unstoppable. He goes out there and he gives such an amazing performance.

"Technically he's leagues above anyone else in the competition."
