Coleen says her kids keep her going

Coleen Nolan has admitted that she still suffers from nervous anxiety before taking to the ice but said that she has kept going because of her children.

The Loose Women presenter told the Daily Mirror that despite the nerves and the arduous training, she was "having a ball" competing in Dancing on Ice.

She explained: "It is the hardest thing I've ever, ever done and my attacks of nerves aren't getting any easier.

"But at the same time I'm loving it too. Weird, eh?

"Seeing the look on my daughter Ciara's face when I come off the ice on a Sunday evening makes it all worthwhile.

"It is an incredible feeling to know you are making your kids proud like that."

She added: "But if it wasn't for them - and for all your support - there is no way I think I could have got through it.

Coleen, who dances with professional partner Stuart Widdall, will be looking to improve on her week six performance.

She scored 14.5 out of 30 for her routine to the Chris de Burgh song, Lady in Red, but judges criticised the celebrity over her lack of speed on the ice and lower body positioning.

Coleen told stv: "Ruthie (Henshall) wants me to take more risks but just getting on the ice is risky for me."
