Ant McPartlin's wife has revealed that she was not impressed with his £8 Valentine's Day takeaway last year.
The host of stv show Saturday Night Takeaway, took his wife Lisa, 32, out for a romantic dinner of sausage and chips at a local restaurant, according to a report in the Sun.
She cautioned: "He'd better pull his socks up.
"He made me wear a nice dress which stank of chips by the time we got home."
Ant, 33, claimed that it was his wife who suggested the idea when she said that she didn't mind where they went for the romantic meal, even a chip shop.
He said: "It cost more than eight quid. I left a two quid tip!"
Ant and Dec will return to our screens on February 14th for the new show which features a host of reality TV celebrities including David Van Day, Bianca Gascoigne, Linda Barker, Chesney Hawkes and Keith Harris and Orville.
