Celebrity Big Brother has returned for its second series this year as host Brian Dowling kicks off the series backed with some dancers.
First into the house was Julie Goodyear, best known for playing barmaid Bet Lynch in Coronation Street.
In keeping with her Corrie character she enters the house wearing a leopard print leggings and cat ears.
Next into the house was fellow soap star Cheryl Fergison, who used to play Heather Trott in EastEnders.
While the two actresses were making awkward small talk Big Brother calls them both into the Diary Room.
They were given the first task of the series and were told that they have to kick up a soap opera fuss every time they hear the Corrie or EastEnders theme tune.
Next into the house was Jersey Shore's Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino. Earlier this year the reality star spent time in rehab for his reliance on prescription medications.
Next up was Julian Clary, he said he's going to bring "a bit of class and a very tight sphincter" to the house.
He was quickly followed by Rhian Sugden who introduces herself by saying "people might recognise me from apparently sex texting Vernon Kay".
MC Harvey of So Solid Crew, who famously cheated on Alesha Dixon and allegedly lied about an affair with Cheryl Cole, was greeted by boos from the crowd.
Journalist Samantha Brick was next to enter the house. She caused controversy when she wrote an article about how hard it is to be beautiful.
Following Brick into the house was Prince Lorenzo Boghese, who is a member of the Italian nobility, the House of Borghese, a cosmetics entrepreneur, animal advocate, and star of the ninth series of the U.S series The Bachelor.
Housemate number nine was Danica Thrall star of Sex Lies and Rinsing Guys.
Big Brother then brought in an Olympian, in Judo athlete Ashley McKenzie. The 23-year-old was knocked out in the first round of the London Games, losing to eventual silver-medallist Hiroaki Hiraoka.
Former Loose Women star Coleen Nolan entered the house next and said she has promised her family she will not expose her breasts while in the reality house.
Simon Cowell's ex Jasmine Lennard, who has also reportedly dated footballer Christiano Ronaldo, was next into the house.
The last housemate to enter the Big Brother house was former EastEnders star Martin Kemp.
