Steve McDonald hasn’t been too lucky in love recently, but things are about to get a whole lot more complicated when he finds himself caught between his ex-girlfriend Michelle Connor and his ex-wife Tracy Barlow.
Steve has been trying his best to get back with Michelle, but when Tracy falls ill and winds up in hospital, he ends up caught in a love triangle, which looks like it has ‘disaster’ written all over it.
Simon Gregson, who plays Steve, explained: “Steve has been trying to get back with Michelle and they get together and everything’s fine, and then Steve manages to mess it up again.
“As usual, Tracy steps into the mix and everything goes Pete Tong.”
Steve goes to visit Tracy in hospital, and thinking she is on her death bed, he tells her that he’s always loved her.
He will live to regret his words, however, when Tracy becomes convinced that she and Steve are getting back together, and with Steve now involved with Michelle, it looks like Tracy could cause a whole heap of trouble for the couple!
“I have absolutely no idea how Steve is going talk himself out of this complete mess,” said Simon. “Stuck again between two women.”
“The writers love Steve always getting himself into trouble and always trying to get himself out of trouble, so this is just another string to that bow.”
