Mel B insists Spice Girls are friends

Mel B has insisted that she thinks of her Spice Girl bandmates as friends.

The singer was responding to reports that Mel B,Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Melanie Chisholm do not get on.

Mel B told the Daily Star: "We are friends. Even though I call them my bitches, I love them. I'm always up for a Spice Girls reunion."

The singer admitted that the launch of Jennifer Saunders's Spice Girls musical Viva Forever had a huge effect on her.

She said: "I have been to see the workshop for the theatre show and it did make me cry. Maybe it's me getting older!"

Meanwhile, the Spice girls are rumoured to be included in the line-up for the London Olympic closing ceremony.

Sunday Mirror columnist Dean Piper wrote on twitter: "So the Spice Girls are all together rehearsing for the Olympics RIGHT NOW inLondon.#itsonbitches.

"Pretty bloody exciting! #spicegirls. I'd like a Spice medley!!! No idea what they're singing."

Victoria Beckham also fueled the rumours by tweeting a picture of a gold microphone she used during the 2007 reunion tour, saying: "Look what I found!! X vb".
