Cheryl Cole's manager will.i.am has claimed that the rumoured collaboration between the Geordie lass and Rihanna will go ahead.
The Black Eyed Peas star says the two singers are just waiting to find the right song.
He told the Daily Star Sunday: "Rihanna and Cheryl will be great when it happens.
"I first told Rihanna about Cheryl in 2009 when I said she's like the princess of England.
"No disrespect to the real royals but Cheryl's the pop princess and I've been telling Rihanna, so hopefully it will happen soon."
Meanwhile, Cole recently admitted that her life could have headed in a completely different direction if she did not have music in her life.
The Fight For This Love singer said that her "dream" of being a popstar helped keep her on the right track.
She told the Daily Mirror: "A lot of young people don't have focus and they don't know what they are going to do with their lives.
"If I hadn't had a dream, I could have gone off the rails and I could have had a very, very different life."
Cheryl added: "If I hadn't had a love for music, I could have gone down a different path and become lost."
