Danniella Westbrook has confessed that she would love to play a role in the hit comedy Benidorm.

The former EastEnders star told a Sunday newspaper that she believes that she could play an "old trollop" in the show.

She told the Daily Star Sunday: "I'm not working at the moment but I'm praying something good will come along.

"I'm having meetings with people but I don't know what's coming up, you just need to have faith.

"If I could have any job in the world it would be Benidorm.

"An old trollop from Essex in Benidorm. I love Derren Litten's writing, it's funny and creative.

She added: "I said to him, `Why do you only have Northerners in there?

"London people go to Benidorm as well'."
