One Direction to record two unreleased Ed Sheeran tracks

One Direction are reportedly to record two previously unreleased singles written by Ed Sheeran.

Sheeran is to join Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson in the studio this summer.

Ed told the Daily Star: "I wrote a couple of songs when I was 17 that One
Direction want for their next album.

"I'm going into the studio in August to produce the tracks for them.

"I won't feature on the tracks though. There's definitely a divide in genre."

This may be part of Sheeran's move to show a "more mature" image after he said his new album will have a grown up vibe.

Meanwhile, One Direction are currently taking the US by storm with their first headline tour of the States.

They have appeared on numerous TV shows in America, as well as being approached to make their own movie.
