Amy Childs has defended her former Only Way Is Essex co-star Mark Wright's new show.
Wright's Hollywood Nights has been branded by critics as "brilliant" if "a little cheesy".
Childs wrote in her new! magazine column: "I don't know why Mark Wright got so much bad press over his show.
"I think it is brilliant."
She added: "Ok, so some bits in the first episode were a little cheesy, but it's filmed in Hollywood, so it's to be expected."
Childs added that she thinks the show could become a sleeper hit.
She said: "I think people have forgotten that The Only Way Is Essex was slated after the first show and then went up to almost two million viewers.
"Give it a chance, I say."
Meanwhile, Childs is reportedly working on a UK remake of Paris Hilton's The Simple Life featuring her cousin and fellow TOWIE star Harry Derbidge.
