Cheryl Cole's single Call My Name has reached number one on iTunes just hours after its release.
The track is the first from her forthcoming third studio album A Million Lights.
Cole took to twitter, saying: "I CANT BELIEVE WHAT I AM SEEING.. How can Call My Name be no 1 on itunes and i only put it out at Midnight... (sic)"
She added: "You lot are UNBELIEVABLE."
If the single enters at number one in the official chart next weekend, she will match her previous record of lead tracks from her earlier albums hitting the top, following Fight For This Love and Promise This.
This weekend Cole performed at the Capital FM Summertime Ball alongside artists Jessie J and Justin Bieber.
Meanwhile, Cheryl confirmed during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show that she was single.
She said: "I would consider Prince Harry."
Making a telephone sign, she added: "Call me".
