Gary Barlow has admitted that he was nervous when meeting the Queen to discuss preparations for her Diamond Jubilee concert.
The Take That star told a Sunday newspaper that Her Majesty had subjected him to a grilling while discussing the organisation of the star-studded event at Buckingham Palace on Monday.
He told the Daily Star Sunday: "The Queen gave me pretty much a free rein.
"She loved all the ideas and was incredibly interested in everything.
"The last meeting I had with her she was really putting me on the spot, asking me all kinds of questions."
Barlow confessed that he had felt anxious while letting the Queen hear the song that he had written to celebrate her 60-year reign for the first time.
He revealed: "When the Queen heard the song, she thought it was great."
Gary added: "I couldn't do the job the Queen does - I don't think anyone could - but the Queen does it, she's done it for 60 years.
"I have so much respect for her."
