US musician Macklemore and producer Ryan Lewis will unleash their brand of Seattle-born hip-hop on Scotland this Friday June 1, when one of their tracks is featured on TV screens around the country.

The duo’s hit Can’t Hold Us, which also features Seattle vocalist Ray Dalton, is the soundtrack for Miller Genuine Draft’s new TV campaign from today.

Macklemore and  Ryan Lewis first collaborated in 2009, when they released the critically acclaimed VS EP, followed up by the VS Redux EP in 2010. Next came four singles and five music videos in 2011, which attracted over 20 million YouTube plays.

The duo are currently recording their first full album due out later this year, and said the support from Scottish fans means the world to them.

Macklemore said: “We're just finishing up recording our first album, so as independent artists who work hard to put everything we have back into our music; this support to reach our fans in Scotland comes at a great time for us.

"I'm excited that our music, including Can't Hold Us, is being embraced in Scotland and we can’t wait to get there soon to perform for our fans!”

You can check out the track on YouTube if you fancy a listen.
