Gary Barlow reportedly eats separately from the other X Factor judges to ensure he stays on his diet.
The Take That star is on a special diet to help keep him trim.
The singer has a chef who prepares his meals and he avoids the canteen where Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh eat.
Gary has apparently also banned sugar, caffeine and milk from his diet, drinking peppermint tea instead.
A source told The Sun: "It's fair to say he is obsessive about his food and will do whatever it takes to avoid temptation.
"He has even requested he sit away from the other judges when they eat so he is not distracted from his vegetables and lean protein meals. Simon thinks it's hilarious."
The 41-year-old judge had openly discussed his weight loss in the past.
After Take That split in 1996, Gary suffered with depression and began to comfort eat.
He said: "For someone so big I felt incredibly small."
Since the band reformed in 2005, Barlow has lost over five stone.
