Katie Price to help set up free school for disabled children

Katie Price has joined the parents of 45 children who want to set up a special needs school in the South East.

The parents have joined forces to prepare a bid for a free school to help kids who are visually-impaired and suffer from other disabilities.

Price hopes to send her visually-impaired son Harvey to the special school as the one he attends faces closure next year.

Katie said she would not be involved in the running of the school.

She told BBC South East: "I am a parent. I haven't used my status at all and I wouldn't because it's not about me, it is about the kids."

Free schools are not-for-profit schools funded by the government but run independently.

Meanwhile, Price has recently launched her new underwear launch, roping in her boyfriend Leandro Penna with the modelling.

Katie said: "I just think wearing nice underwear, fresh clean, completes you.

"As you can see this range is very me, very pink, girlie and I love the neon look."

She added: "If I can't wear my own stuff then it's time for me to give it up. It's my product and I should be promoting it.

"I don't agree with other people who have underwear out who just wear a little dress and have models next to them wearing underwear."
