X Factor winner Matt Cardle has said he would like to see Dannii Minogue return to the panel.
Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh are currently looking for a fourth judge to join them.
During the auditions the empty position has been filled by Geri Halliwell, Leona Lewis and Rita Ora.
Chatting to Digital Spy at the Arqiva British Academy Television Awards, Murs said: "I'd like to see Dannii back on the TV.
"I know she's not doing it, but it would've been nice, as long as it's right for her and it's something that she wanted to do."
Cardle also gave some advice to the new judge: "Don't sit on the fence, but make sure that what you say is well thought-out - constructive criticism as opposed to just nasty comments, or good comments where they're not due."
Meanwhile, Matt is said to be "relieved" after parting ways with his record label.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday: "Matt is adamant the decision to part ways was mutual.
"Matt has lots of ideas in the pipeline and he can't wait to get back out there and show people the kind of musician he really is. He's already been busy recording new tracks for his second album."
