Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley has revealed that she wants to stick with the soap for a long time.
The actress plays the part of Eva Price and is set to be involved in some bigger storylines after having her contract extended until 2013.
Speaking to The Mirror about her role in the soap, Catherine said: “I've always wanted to be in Corrie, so when I got the phone call to tell me that I'd got the part, I was thrilled to bits, especially with this character. She's got so much scope.
“At the minute, I hope they'll keep me for a long time. If I'm still here in five years' time and loving it as much, then I'll be really pleased. The writing is fantastic and it's such an honour to act every day.”
Catherine has also revealed that in real life she dresses quite casually and often goes unrecognised by fans in the street.
The 28-year-old's recent storylines have involved Eva growing suspicious of her boyfriend Nick over his growing friendship with his sister-in-law Kylie.
