Britain’s Got Talent semi final 5: Face Team score with judges

With so many dance acts and group performers trying out for this year’s Britain’s Got Talent, competition is tough and it’s hard for hopefuls to stand out from the crowd.

One group who blew the judges away at their auditions were Face Team, a group of 20-29 year old Hungarian basketball playing gymnasts who name Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant among their idols.

Battling it out on tonight’s live semi final, the team wore scarlet basketball outfits and slam dunked and flew around the stage on trampolines to a mash up of dance music. They might have been flying high in the air but would they be high flyers in the competition?

Frisky David Walliams kicked off the comments saying: “You’re not just playing basketball …you’re risking life and limb… and you all look great in satin shorts!” (we have to agree about the shorts comment!) He added: “It was a truly extraordinary act”

Alesha, gave them a standing ovation, and said: “I thought that was an incredible start to show. The choreography was brilliant, so much going on at the same time…the music was good… it was good to see an act so physical….. you should be proud.”

Amanda called it “phenomenal” and “flawless”,

Meanwhile Simon said: “I’ve actually liked the fact that people from all over the world have come to Britain’s Got Talent. This was even better than first time - you actually risked your life… it was outstanding. Congratulations.”

The bouncing boys first slam dunked onto our screens in week four of the Britain’s Got Talent auditions hoping to impress Simon and the other judges.

Amanda said after their first audition: “That was amazing, I haven’t seen anything like it before it was energetic, you’re fabulous.” Alesha agreed: “That was absolutely wicked, never seen it before – would love to see it again!”

David told them: “You guys have completely blown us away.”

The lads told the cameras that after their BGT audition the Hungarian media exploded, with people stopping them in the street.

They will be hooping to make it through to the live final on Saturday, but if they do they face fierce competition in the form of Sam Kelly, Nu Sxool, Molly Rainford, Loveable Rogues, Only Boys Aloud, Ashleigh and Pudsey, Johnathan and Charlotte, and Kai and Natalia.

What did you think of Face Team? Do they have what it takes to win this year’s competition? Leave us a comment and let us know your thoughts.
