Coronation Street star Michelle Collins has revealed that she has no plans to leave the soap when her current contract ends.
The actress, who plays Stella Price in the show, repoertedly said she'd like to take some time out next year to support her daughter, Maia Rose, through her exams, but she won't be waving goodbye to the cobbles any time soon.
She said: “I am very happy working on Coronation Street and have no plans to leave the show. I have recently signed a new contract for another 12 months and have not said I’m planning to leave the show after that."
Michelle is set to be involved in some big storylines in the coming months when her mum Gloria turns up in the Street, and she cannot wait to get her teeth stuck into the exciting storylines.
“I’m really enjoying playing Stella and have made some firm friends on the cast," she revealed. "There are a lot of exciting storylines in the pipeline for Stella, including the recent casting of Sue Johnston as her mum, and I’m relishing the chance to be part of such an amazing show.”
Michelle's current storylines involve Stella trying to cope with her gambling addict husband Karl (John Michie), who is cheating on her with Sunita Alahan (Shobna Gulati).
