Britain’s Got Talent: Loveable Rogues have judges Lovesick with 'brilliant' performance

The Loveable Rogues – well quite frankly, they’re lovely, and the Britain’s Got Talent judges think so too, praising the cheeky chaps for their BGT semi-final performance of self-penned track Lovesick.

With Eddie, 20, on guitar and vocals, Te, 18, singing and Sonny, also 18, on the ukulele and guitar, the talented lads even had Simon Cowell swaying along as they performed the melodic hit, which we first heard when they auditioned for the show.

Alesha Dixon, who dubbed the group her “favourite act so far” at the auditions, was once again impressed, as she said: “Your name Loveable Rogues is so fitting. I loved you you’re your first audition. The song is so catchy. I love you.”

Amanda Holden agreed: “So many boybands try so hard to be cool and I love how happy you are. It’s like The Streets meets Gypsy Kings. I love how you mix it up. It’s so happy.”

David Walliams gushed: “You’re funny. You’re sexy. You came out hear did your own song and you killed it.”

But it was music mogul Simon Cowell who was most impressed by the lads. He said: “Guys, it was brilliant. Brilliant, brilliant and you’ve come along at the right time.

“You’re current. I know exactly who you should be working with; it’s absolutely the real deal. It’s genius. You’re credible. I can not tell you how happy I am.”

After praise like that, the delighted group said: “We have been so scared. It’s all getting a bit real now.”

Before the show, the Loveable Rogues said they think they should win BGT because they are so “loveable” and they’re sure people will love to hear they’re music. That’s a lot of love.

And if they make it through to the final and go on to take the £500,000 prize, they have big plans for that cash.

The Rogues said: “I think we would burst out crying and quit work straight away to pursue our music!

“We would give our mum’s a hug and some pocket money, then go off for a crazy 2 week adventure. After BGT we want to work really hard and make Loveable Rogues global.”

With quite a fanbase already online, have the Loveable Rogues got what it takes to make it to the BGT 2012 final on Saturday night and get one step closer to realizing their global domination dream? Look out One Direction! We’ll find out tonight…
