The Britain’s Got Talent semi-final continue on TV tonight, bringing another batch of weird and wonderful acts to the stage, as the hopefuls do everything in their power to win a place in Saturday’s grand final.
Tonight’s third semi-final sees a fantastic mix of musicians, dance and novelty acts, who will be hoping their performance has what it takes to get the audience at home on side, and win those all important votes.
So far male vocal choir Only Boys Aloud, dancing dog act Ashleigh and Pudsey, Latin American ballroom dancers Kai and Natalia, and opera duo Jonathan and Charlotte have won the first four places in Saturday’s tense final.
And tonight two more performers will join the line-up – but who will make the cut?
Taking to the stage tonight, we’ve got performance group Area 51, made up of six female dancers, two angle grinders, two Co2 girls, three robots and two controllers. Yes, you read that right!
Area 51 are hoping their unique LED globot show will have the magic needed to win that all important spot in the BGT grand final.
Also hoping to impress tonight is 11-year-old singer Molly Rainford. Inspired by Beyonce, and dubbed a “little Mariah Carey” by the BGT judges, Molly will be hoping to wow the panel and the audience once again tonight.
Xylophonist Ashley Elliot will be hoping the judges and audience don’t end up telling him to beat it on tonight’s show, after he performs on the third semi-final.
The 17-year-old Northern Irish musician impressed the judges at the auditions stage of the contest with his amazingly fast percussion skills – but will he be able to stun again? You’ll need to watch tonight’s show to find out!
Also hoping for glory tonight is 25-year-old contortionist Lucky, who amazed the judges with her bendy body tricks at the BGT auditions.
Lucky says it would be hugely exciting to perform for Her Majesty the Queen because it “means having the honour to show her how I bend”. We can’t wait to see what Lucky has in store for us tonight!
Another act hoping to win over the support of the judges and the audience is German singer Dennis Egel. Wacky Dennis caused us all to stifle a few giggles during his audition for BGT, wearing a crazy suit that had ‘arms’ that popped out every time he hit a new high note.
The judges couldn’t quite believe what they were seeing, but were suitably impressed – and entertained – enough to put Dennis through to the next round. But will he be able to pull it out the bag again?
Another singer hoping for success tonight is 21-year-old Honey Shazad, who is desperate for one of the judges in particular to sit up and take notice – Amanda Holden, who failed to give Honey a “yes” vote at the audition stages.
Two years ago Twist and Pulse impressed on BGT, and this year the boys returned with a new venture – the Twist and Pulse Dance Company. The troupe gave an eye-catching, perfectly timed performance that left the judges and audience begging for more. Can they do it again?
And The Zimmers will be hoping to bring something a little different tonight too. The all-singing all-dancing OAP group won praise from the judges for their unique at the auditions, proving that no matter what their age, they really are young at heart.
Will the group – which has members whose ages range from 66-88 - manage to win enough support tonight to land them a place in Saturday’s grand final? Watch tonight to find out!
Completing the line-up is boy band Loveable Rogues. The Essex group were a huge hit with the judges, being compared to fellow musicians such as Madness, and stormed into the next round of the competition.
The boys performed their catchy track Love Sick for the audition stage of BGT – and we can’t wait to see what they return with tonight!
Britain’s Got Talent semi-final three is on STV tonight from 7.30-9pm, returning at 9.30pm with the results show, when two acts will find out that they’ve made it through to Saturday night’s grand final.
