Two ballroom dancers set the Britain’s Got Talent stage alight tonight with another sizzling routine. Teenagers Kai and Natalia certainly had temperatures soaring with a saucy Latin dance number.
After the public vote it was up to the judges to choose between Scottish singer Paige Turley and the dance act, sending one act through to the final and the other home.
David said: “It’s really tough I’m going to pick the act that I think has the most potential and that for me is Paige.”
Alesha said: “Very easy for me, ballroom and Latin hold a special place in my heart – Kai and Natalia.”
Amanda agreed saying: “I’m going on the performances I’ve seen this evening. Kai and Natalia.”
This left the decision up to Simon, who looked clearly torn and said: “I like both.” After much thought he added: “I apologise to the act I haven’t put through, I’m going to put through Kai and Natalia.”
Natalia told Ant and Dec: “It’s amazing I didn’t expect it”, while her partner Kai said: “I’m Completely speechless – fantastic! I’m sure we won’t let you [the judges] down.”
Opera singers Charlotte and Jonathon got the most votes in the public vote and so went straight through to the Saturday final where they will face Kai and Natalia, Ashleigh and Pudsey, and Only Boys Aloud.
For their semi final performance earlier in the night Kai and Natalia wore lacy red and black costumes and gave a sexy, upbeat performance to Jet’s hit Are You Gonna Be My Girl, which impressed all four judges.
Simon Cowell told Kai and Natalia: “I loved the music, I loved the choreography, I loved the routine.” He added: “You two look like winners. You put the work in.”
Strictly Come Dancing champ Alesha told them: “You’re making Latin ballroom dancing look cool.” She continued: “I think you really do deserve to go through.” New mum Amanda agreed saying: “I would love to see you in the final.”
Kai and Natalia first sashayed onto our screens in week five of the audition process with a sexy, sizzling routine to a Christina Aguilera song.
Kai and Natalia will battle it out on Saturday’s live Britain’s Got Talent final to be in with a chance of winning £500,000 and dancing at the Royal Variety Performance.
