Britain’s Got Talent singers Jonathan and Charlotte have landed a coveted place in Saturday’s grand final, after giving a stunning performance on tonight’s second semi-final.
The pop-opera duo, who first started singing together during music lessons at school, were clearly overwhelmed as the result was announced on tonight’s show.
Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec, an overwhelmed Charlotte said: “Thank you so much," while Jonathan added: "Thank you to everyone, it’s unbelievable!”
The pair received the most votes from the public, sending them automatically through to Saturday’s grand final, after giving a spine-tingling performance of Caruso earlier tonight.
Charlotte and Jonathan will now join dog act Ashleigh and Pudsey and 140-strong choir Only Boys Aloud who made it through to the final on last night’s show, as well as dancers Kai and Natalia who the judges opted to send to the final, after they made it into the top three acts from tonight's show.
The singing pair stunned the audience and the judges when they performed at the audition stages of BGT, with Simon Cowell almost left speechless – which really is saying something!
Dubbed the SuBo of this year, Jonathan and Charlotte were immediately tipped to go far on this year’s series of Britain’s Got Talent, with some even predicting that they could steal the trophy.
Viewers will get the chance to see the pair return for one final time this Saturday when they battle it out in the hope of winning Britain’s Got Talent 2012.
