Britain’s Got Talent semi final 2: Four Corners best dance group say judges

Competition for a coveted place in the Saturday final of Britain’s Got Talent is tougher than ever, particularly for dance groups, who this year have come out en masse to prove that they could be the next Diversity.

Several dance acts have failed to impress the judges in the semi finals so far, so tonight London dance group Four Corners had everything to prove.

The lead dancer and sole girl in the troupe kept her trademark scarlet hair and wore a matching skin tight red cat suit that looked like something out of The Avengers for their high octane routine.

Surrounded by her leather waistcoated male dancers, the femme fatale and her team performed to Poison by former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger.

The audience and judges seemed blown away and the delighted Four Corners were given overwhelmingly positive feedback.

Simon told them: “That is the definition of girl power!” He added: “We’ve seen a lot of dance groups tonight and this is by far the best. You’re in with a really good chance of making the finals.”

Alesha echoed his comments saying: “I think you were like a superhero in the middle of all these boys – I think you’re the best dance crew in the competition.”

Ever the comedian David Walliams joked: “I didn’t think there would be an act sexier than The Showbears – ones to watch.”

Amanda added to the positive feedback saying: “I loved how aggressive it was. You are so dominant and sexy in the middle… You’ve restored my faith in dance groups in this competition!”

With comments like that the dancers were left speechless saying only: “That’s amazing!”

The group is made up of predominately male students and recent graduates of London Contemporary Dance School. They formed two years ago to encourage young male dancers to realise their potential and give them the opportunity to perform and prepare for a professional career in dance.

If they go through to the Saturday final they will join Welsh choir Only Boys Aloud and dog act Ashleigh and Pudsey to battle it out for the £500,000 prize and a chance to dance in the Royal Variety Performance.
