Kai and Natalia’s dream of making the Britain’s Got Talent final this Saturday looks like it could very well come true after the dance duo got glowing praise on the second semi-final tonight.
The teen Latin American ballroom dancers gave a sexy, upbeat performance to Jet’s hit Are You Gonna Be My Girl, sashaying and twirling across the stage.
And the high energy routine certainly caught the eye of the judges, with all four giving the dedicated pair the thumbs-up.
Simon Cowell told Kai and Natalia: “You know what guys I loved you the first time I saw you, and we asked you to come back and do something different, and you did that.
“I loved the music, I loved the choreography, I loved the routine.” He added: “You two look like winners. You put the work in.”
David Walliams said: “In the past I’ve seen some people ballroom dance and it can be a bit boring and old fashioned, but you made it really, really modern and sexy, and dynamic. You’ve worked so hard and I really respect you for that.”
Alesha – who used to be a judge on Strictly Come Dancing - added: “You’re making Latin ballroom dancing look cool.” She continued: “I think you really do deserve to go through.”
And Amanda was also taken with the duo, adding: “It was slick, and exciting and full of discipline. I would love to see you in the final.”
