Britain’s Got Talent semi-final 1 result: Ashleigh and Pudsey win to go through to final

Simon Cowell and all the judges loved them – so it wasn’t too much surprise to see the stupendous dog act breeze through to the final, where they may be tough to beat, given the amazing audience reaction.

Ashleigh and Pudsey had wowed the Judges in the initial auditions with Simon saying that Pudsey is the ‘best dancing dog act he has ever seen’.

Ashleigh said: "Just thank you so, so much to everyone who voted.

"We will come back and blow you away. Thank you."

Seventeen-year-old Ashleigh was given Pudsey when she was 11 and they have a remarkable bond – with the dynamic duo performing in shows for years.

Decked out in white, it was a fun fun performance earlier on this evening by the duo, Pudsey putting in a star performance alongside Ashleigh. By the end every judge was on their feet!

Simon had said after wild audience applause: “This is what I’ve been waiting for all my life.

“Honestly, I’ve had a lot of dogs in my life, but never one like this. Ashleigh, you did a fantastic job as well.

“This is what the show is all about, I loved it. I loved you.”

David laughed: “Ashleigh and Pudsey, thanks for making my Simon so happy. He had such a difficult few weeks, and this has cheered him up.

“I think you can win.”

Alesha noted: “You are the luckiest girl in the world, I’m so jealous. Everything about it was brilliant – I didn’t think you could top the audition, but you did.

Amanda explained: “You both have personality. It’s a brilliant double-act, a brilliant partnership.”

If they won Ashleigh explained: “I can’t describe how I would feel Pudsey and I won.

“Pudsey means everything to me and I know that all he ever wants to do is please me. It would mean all that more because I would have won alongside my best friend!”
