United We Stand is a hip hop dance group which is made up of 14 members.
The group have entered a number of UK and world dance competitions and although they have placed in the final, they are yet to win any major competitions but have high hopes that BGT will be their opportunity to prove themselves and win.
Their routine was sharp, but they were buzzed by Simon before it was over – how cruel!
Then it was the turn of Amanda, as the act underwhelmed.
Amanda explained: “I know you worked hard on this routine – but I’m really bored by street-dancing unless you step it up.”
She said they didn’t compare to US acts – though Simon then chipped in that there’s also far better on this side of the pond. Ouch!
He continued: “It was indulgent, it was boring. I hate what you wore.
“To me it was just very narrow, not commercial.”
He added that they should fire the choreographer, ouch!
David laughed: “I thought it was a very ambitious piece, and I applaud that.”
Alesha noted: “I feel for you guys, and I feel your passion.
“I appreciate what you did, and don’t be too deflated.
The group rehearse together three or four times a week at a dance space in East London and the group describe themselves as a big family and like to socialise together whenever they aren’t dancing.
The troupe said that the most inspiring acts from Britain’s Got Talent have been Flawless and Diversity: “They are two British dance crews that now have a wonderful dance career and are living their dreams every day.
“This is something that we would wish for ourselves and watching that has been a great aid in pushing us harder.”
