Britain’s Got Talent show seven: Dr Who inspired act just wants to exterminate

It was more like Britain's Got Tardis when Dalek impersonator Martyn Crofts took to the stage.

The building society worker from Yorkshire was armed only with a saucepan for his "absolutely unique" Dr Who inspired act.

Martyn sang King of the Road in his Dalek voice - which he has been perfecting for 20 years.

The 42-year-old’s performance was a guilty pleasure for judge Alesha.

Alesha said: “I actually did enjoy it, that’s what confusing me! I’m not supposed to like you but I really did.”

Amanda praised Martyn’s ‘variety’ act.

She said: “Do you know what, I loved that! I did, it’s variety and that’s what Britain’s Got Talent is all about.”

For David though, it was all about the saucepan.

David said:  “For me the star of the show was the saucepan, it’s obviously a good one its non-stick!

“It was very original, at no point did I necessarily think you were going to stick that on your head and be a Dalek”

Despite impressing Amanda and Alisha, Martyn left Simon cold. He buzzed and then stopped the performance.

He said: “Martyn I’ve got to be honest with you. I came back from America to do this show because I’m looking for someone who I can possibly put on in Las Vegas.

“With the greatest respect if you turned up with a saucepan on your head and pretended to be a Dalek you would empty stadiums.”

But with yes votes from Alesha, Amanda and David the Dalek impersonator made it through to the next round.

EXTERMINATE!
