Britain’s Got Talent: the best weird and wonderful auditions so far

The last audition show from Britain’s Got Talent is being screened tomorrow (May 5) before the nail-biting semi-finals kick off on Sunday night.

It’s been a fabulously entertaining show so far, so here at we decided to take a quick look back at some of our favourite moments – whether good or bad!

We’ve burst out laughing, shed the odd tear and looked on in horror at some of the acts who’ve appeared on our TV screens this year.

Mr Zip
Mr Zip’s act truly had to be seen to be believed. Explaining his act – a rap about losing his keys and mobile phone – the 49-year-old drew bewildered glances from the judges, whose expressions didn’t change as he kicked off the bizarre song.

But within a minute Mr Zip had won the audience and the judges over, with everyone singing along to his catchy rap. We’re sure Lost My Keys, Lost My Phone is set to be a massive future hit! Watch the audition now.

Ashleigh and Pudsey
This uber-cute dog act really melted our hearts and got four very strong “yes” votes from the judges, who were smitten with 16-year-old Ashleigh and her gorgeous pooch.

Mr Cowell even dubbed it “one of the best dancing dog acts ever.” High praise indeed! Watch the paw-some performance now.

Geisha, quite frankly, terrified us. Givng a ‘unique’ performance of the nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty, we were left quivering in our seats. See what we mean.

The judges must have seen the magic though, with three out of four giving Geisha a “yes”. Whatever will she do next?!

Charlotte and Jonathan
This audition was the SuBo moment of this year’s BGT. We got goosebumps as school friends Charlotte and Jonathan broke into those first few notes of the opera song they chose to perform as a duet.

Appearing on stage dressed-down and clearly nervous, it was obvious the audience and judges weren’t expecting much from the pair. But all that changed in mere seconds, as everyone realised just how talented Charlotte and Jonathan really are. Want to feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand up? Check out their audition now.

Analiza Ching
This super talented violinist shocked some with saucy confessions about playing her instrument commando, but when it was her musical performance that really won Analiza top praise and huge applause from the judges and audience.

Tipped as the “next Vanessa Mae”, Analiza looks set to go far. Watch her perform.

Chica Latina
This hip-shaking Latina honey certainly didn’t have the best voice we’ve ever heard, but the Spanish-Colombian singer managed to win over the judges and the audience with her spicy performance that left them wanting more. Watch it now. She even managed to snare four votes! But will she make it through to the semi-finals? You’ll need to watch this Saturday to find out.

The Loveable Rogues
This group sent temperatures soaring on BGT with a performance of their own track Love Sick, which earned them a comparison to Madness.

The judges loved the fact that the boys really let their personalities shine through in their performance, and were delighted that the boys had really though through their audition. Check it out now.

Paige Turley
The Edinburgh-based 14-year-old stunned us with her rendition of Bon Iver’s Skinny Love. Despite her young age, Paige showed off a maturity way beyond her years and won praise from all four judges who tipped the teen for big things. Watch Paige’s audition now to see what all the fuss is about.
