Harry Styles was only back in the UK for a week before he flew back to Los Angeles.

The 18-year-old reportedly has some "work" meetings lined up in the States.

Styles was met by a beautiful blonde at LAX Airport, while minders walked with them to protect him from fans.

The pair shared a car to journey to his chosen hotel and Harry was seen grinning out of the window.

Although the One Direction star has been linked to lots of women in recent months his mum insists that has not been dating anyone "special"

She told Now magazine: "At the moment he doesn't want to tie himself down.

"He had one or two girlfriends when he was younger, but no one very special."

At the end of the month Harry will be back in the US with his One Direction bandmates for a 23-date tour.

During the tour they will be supported by fellow X Factor star Olly Murs.
