Britain’s Got Talent: Molly Rainford is the new Mariah Carey

While most schoolgirls are busy doing their homework or dreaming about Justin Bieber, 11 year old Molly Rainford from Essex has bigger fish to fry.

The talented tween with the voice of an angel stunned the Britain’s Got Talent judges when she performed in week six of the auditions, saying beforehand that if she got a “yes” she would be over the moon.

Before performing she told the judges that she liked going to church with her gran on Sundays. Bless!

Taking to the stage in a trendy geo-print dress the little lady with the big voice sang Jennifer Hudson’s One Night Only immediately stunning the judging panel and audience.

After getting a standing ovation, the little star awaited her fate with bated breath.

Moved to tears, Alesha told her: “You are 11 years old and you sing with such maturity and control. You’ve just blown me away.” The Mystique singer added: “She’s like a little Mariah Carey.” Praise indeed!

Guest judge Carmen Electra who was filling in for new mum Amanda Holden told the young performer: “You have an amazing voice and an amazing presence.”

Meanwhile ever the comedian, David Walliams joked: “I just worry that you are too old… You’re kind of faultless, well done!”

Music mogul Simon Cowell was similarly impressed telling her: “I like you, because you’ve got soul. I really do believe that.”
