Former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole may be set to take a cameo role in Geordie Shore.

The Girls Aloud beauty has apparently been approached by bosses to take part in the reality TV show.

A source told The Sun that TV chiefs made the approach after Cole confessed she was a huge fan of the programme.

A source is quoted as telling the newspaper; "Cheryl loves Geordie Shore and never misses an episode.

"She couldn't believe it when an invite arrived for a cameo part."

The insider claimed that Cheryl is keen to rejig her busy schedule so that she can take part in filming for the show.

The source added: "Her schedule is incredibly busy at the moment but she's trying to find a way of fitting something in as it would be too funny to miss."
