Britain’s Got Talent hopeful Marea Smithson has revealed that she would love to have a similar career to David Walliams.
Shy Marea wowed the judges on last weekend’s show with her impressions of Anne Robinson, Anne Widdecombe and some of her favourite Corrie characters, getting four yes votes and a place in the next stage of the competition.
She was delighted to get such positive feedback from David in particular, who found her act hilarious.
Speaking to ITV, Marea revealed: “It was really nice getting such positive comments from David. He is so clever. I love Come Fly With Me and Little Britain.
“His feedback really meant a lot because he does what I would like to do. I would love to write my own TV show as he has done, something like the Miranda Hart type of thing.”
Marea will appear in next month’s live shows and is hoping that if she makes it to the semi-finals, she will get the chance to do voice-over work or to appear in a sketch show.
Britain’s Got Talent continues on STV tomorrow night at 8.30pm. The live semi-finals will begin on Sunday, May 9.
