This week on Animal 999, we meet Roxy the diabetic staffy. Of the 4,000 abandoned dogs in Scotland each year, 40% are Staffordshire Bull Terriers.
Roxy arrives at the Scottish SPCA Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Aberdeen, but she has the added problem of being diabetic – will this poorly pooch ever find a loving home?
In Port Seton, Animal Rescue Officer Mairi Stewart comes to the rescue of an injured gull, while in Glasgow, it’s a case of ‘catch the pigeon’ as a trapped bird causes chaos in a tenement close.
In the Maryhill area of Glasgow, some exotic creatures are on the loose.
Senior Inspector Billy Linton is called to a flat where there has been a break-in.
Robbers smashed a glass tank where bearded dragons lived and it’s up to Billy to try and catch the escapees. Can he get to them in time? We’ll find out when Animal 999 airs this Friday at 8.
