Ewan McGregor has joined Diane Kruger, Jean Paul Gaultier and Andrea Arnold on the 2012 feature films jury for the Cannes Film Festival.

They will be joined by Hiam Abbas, Emmanuelle Devos, Alexander Payne and Raoul Peck.

The 2012 jury is to be headed up by filmmaker Nannii Moretti.

Actor Tim Roth has already been confirmed as the head of the Un Certain Regard jury at this year's festival.

Films showing at this year's Cannes Film Festival include David Cronenberg's Cosmoplis starring Robert Pattinson.

His Twilight co-star and girlfriend Kristen Stewart will also be at the festival in Alter Salles's adaptation of Jack Kerouac's On The Road.

The 2012 Cannes Film Festival will run from May 16 to May 27.

The annual event, which attracts art-house filmmakers alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
