Craig Ferguson – now a famous chat show host in the US – has returned to Scotland and is taking his Late Late Show viewers along for the trip.

The channel that hosts the show, CBS says the Scotland-based episodes – which he filmed last month – will air the week of May 14.

He was joined in our fair country by by actors Mila Kunis, Michael Clarke Duncan and Rashida Jones, and also the author/humorist David Sedaris.

While there, the Scottish star explores Edinburgh and Glasgow, visiting Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile, Calton Hill, Glamis Castle and Kelvingrove Art Gallery.

He also returns to his hometown of Cumbernauld, stopping to visit his childhood home and high school.

Ferguson apparently said to guest Rashida Jones while filming in Arbroath Harbour: “This whole trip to Scotland, I can’t tell you how lovely it is.

“How great the people are, how beautiful the towns are. I’m shocked… my memory is completely wrong!”

Glasgow rock band The Imagineers are set to receive a huge boost by appearing on the show.

It marks the second international trip for The Late Show with Craig Ferguson, which went to Paris last year.
