14-year-old Paige Turley wowed the BGT judges and viewers when she appeared on the show on Saturday night.

The gorgeous singer performed a beautiful version of Bon Iver’s Skinny Love which meant the judges’ first trip to Edinburgh was well worth the effort.

After receiving four yeses, we caught up with Paige backstage to see how she felt about her audition.

She said: “Walking out was quite intimidating but once I started singing I got into things and it was really good.”

That’s an understatement Ms Turley! After the applause had died down after her performance, Alesha Dixon told her: “You are adorable! I love your song choice so different and refreshing… I think you should be really proud of that performance and your family should be proud because you just blew us away.”

Comedian David Walliams agreed saying: “I think you look and sound like a popstar” meanwhile new mum Amanda Holden told her: “I think your voice is absolutely amazing I think you’ve got a really bright future ahead of you well done.”

Even Simon was impressed gushing: “I think you’re absolutely fabulous!” He added: “I love the fact that you didn’t do a direct copy of the song. It sounds very different to a lot of people I’ve heard before. You have a really interesting unique voice. I really really, like you.”
There’s still a long way to go in the competition but how does Paige plan to ensure she stands out from the crowd?

She said: “The next round I might try an upbeat song and show that I can do different styles of music.”

We can’t wait for that. Has Scotland unearthed yet another singing sensation? Can Paige go on and follow in Susan Boyle and Jai McDowall’s successful footsteps. Time will tell but we think there’s something special about this young Scottish star...
