Many singers face the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel, and many should perhaps have stuck to singing in their shower, but one young talent who might have what it takes is Hope Murphy.
The 16 year old from Essex appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in the hope of achieving her dreams. She told the show: “It will be my dream to make it worldwide- When I go onstage I definitely want to leave an impression – I want to be an act they won’t forget.”
Rocking some TOWIE style false eyelashes the teenager certainly looked the part, but did she convince singer Alesha Dixon and Mr X Factor himself, Simon Cowell, that she has that special something they are looking for?
She set off with her audition but before she’d even got one word out Simon stopped her and made her change her song choice saying he wanted to hear “something different to what everyone else is singing.”
Undaunted, the rock chick, dressed in a trendy lace dress and leather jacket, gave a beautiful performance of the ballad This Woman’s Work by Maxwell that had the audience on their feet and poor Hope in tears!
Comedian David Walliams told the talented teen: “Hope that was incredible, you’ve got a great voice, well done”
Amanda Holden told her: “I think that you are a star in the making.”
Usually the hardest judge to please, Simon told her: “16 years old and you sang that very very well, and I like your personality as well.”
Singer Alesha Dixon told Hope: “You sang it beautifully and I’m really excited about you that was a great audition.”
With comments like those and four yes votes it looks like Hope’s got plenty reason to be hopeful of Britain’s Got Talent success!
