Dancing on Ice judge Robin Cousins wowed by Jennifer Ellison’s rock week performance

Robin Cousins was amazed with Jennifer Ellison’s performance during Rock Week, which saw her receive her highest score on the show yet.

The actress was injured recently after kicking the back of her head with an ice skate during a spin, but after a tough couple of weeks she has bounced back and wowed the judges with her routine, giving her and dance partner Dan Whiston a score of 22.

Robin was delighted that Jennifer had taken on board everything that the judges have been telling her for the past few weeks and said: “She had that lightbulb moment where she just got it.

“It doesn’t matter how much information you give somebody, it’s only when they feel and realise what you’re talking about.”

Jorgie Porter topped the leaderboard with a score of 27.5, and although Sam Nixon and Chico Slimani found themselves in the skate-off, with Sam being sent home, it was Andy Whyment who received the lowest score of the night.

Speaking about Andy’s performance, judge Louie Spence said: “It’s alright to have emotion on the inside but it needs to translate on the outside.

“There are a lot of men out there who don’t emote. Unfortunately, in a performance situation, we need to see that a bit more.”
