Simon Cowell has reportedly approached Estelle to replace Kelly Rowland on the X Factor.
The singer is allegedly in talks after Rowland said she wanted to concentrate on her US career.
A source told The Sun: "Estelle's name is very high on his list now and serious enquiries have been made as to her availability for auditions in May."
Rowland recently admitted that she would love to join the US version of the show as a replacement for Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, who are not returning.
Last month, a representative for Rowland played down suggestions that she is leaving the X Factor.
Kelly has insisted that she "enjoyed every minute of the show".
Cowell has admitted that he may change the panel for the next series of the show.
However, it is thought Louis Walsh will return and Gary Barlow has confirmed that he is in talks to return as a judge.
