Katy and Chesney have been struggling to cope with baby Joseph, but tonight things go from bad to worse when the house goes on fire, with Joseph trapped inside!
Things kick off at 7.30pm when Katy leaves Faye in charge of babysitting. Initially young Faye does a good job, but when she nips outside to get rid of a dirty nappy the door blows shut, locking her out.
With toast cooking under the grill, it’s not long before smoke starts billowing from the house!
At 8.30pm, Faye manages to find Owen and Anna and Owen breaks the door down and saves the day! As Katy rushes in, she’s horrified to find out what’s happened, and after admitting that she’s left Joseph alone before, Owen is furious.
Picking up Joseph and walking out, Owen is adamant that Katie and Chesney are too young to look after a baby, but when he calms down and returns to the house to talk to the young couple, he finds that Katy has gone. Has she done a runner?
Elsewhere on the cobbles, Audrey is adamant that she won’t be taking Lewis back, but when she finds out that he’s living in a scummy bedsit while he pays off his debts, she begins to soften…don’t do it, Audrey!
Meanwhile, the path of true love isn’t running smoothly for Tina and Tommy either as Tommy confesses his feelings and Tina rejects him. Confiding in Stella, Tina admits that she likes Tommy but is scared of getting hurt again, but it could be too late as Tommy is off on the pull. Oh dear…
