The Queen, Camilla and Kate are to reportedly spend the day at the department store Fortnum and Mason together.
As part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the three generations of royal ladies will enjoy some retail therapy and lunch.
This will be the first time The Queen, the Duchess of Cornwall and Duchess of Cambridge have carried out official duties together.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "The Queen and two duchesses are all very much looking forward to it.
"The invitation would have come from the Queen to the other two and I'm sure we will see lots more joint engagements like this in future.
"Kate has a lot to learn from the more experienced royals and what better way to see how it's done than to watch the expert, the Queen, at work up close?"
The ladies will visit the store on March 1, and the Queen will unveil a plaque to mark Piccadilly's regeneration.
The event will be one of several royal visits Catherine will be carrying out while her husband Prince William is away on his tour of duty in the Falklands.
It is thought that the Queen and also invited the Duchess of Cambridge to join her and Prince Phillip at the launch of their jubilee tour in Leicester on March 8.
