Axed Dancing on Ice contestant Rosemary Conley has revealed that she has had the time of her life on the show after being voted off last night during week 6 of the competition.
The diet and fitness guru had been bottom of the leader board for weeks and was the bookies favourite to leave, and when she found herself in the skate-off against Chemmy Alcott, she knew that her time was up.
“It was bound to happen at some point, I knew that, and to be honest with you I think the time is right,” she said.
“When you think of the skills that are going to be put to everybody next week, it’s a big challenge, and I would have hated to leave under such a humiliating cloud.”
Rosemary has been one of the most excited contestants the show has ever had, and the 64-year-old had a blast during rehearsals, with her husband commenting that he’d never seen her so happy.
She has loved working with her dance partner Mark Hanretty and revealed that meeting him was the highlight of her Dancing on Ice experience.
Speaking about her amazing time on the show, she said: “It has surpassed my wildest dreams and enjoyment. I am so glad that I have done it. It has changed my life and has been brilliant.
It has been the most beautiful adventure and everybody’s been amazing; that’s the thing I’m going to miss most.”
