Coronation Street[/i star Kym Marsh is reportedly being offered her best storyline so far to stop leaving the soap.
The 35-year-old plays Michelle Connor in the Weatherfield drama and is getting ready to sign a new deal.
Bosses are desperate to keep Kym in the drama after the recent departures of Katherine Kelly (Becky McDonald) and Helen Flanagan (Rosie Webster.
In November viewers saw Michelle being left by Ciaran McCarthy (Keith Duffy) after he gambled away their wedding deposit.
It is rumoured that Michelle may be involved in the storyline surrounding the murder of Frank Foster (Andrew Lancel).
Kym said: "ITV have been brilliant while I was on maternity leave and looking after Polly in the months after giving birth.
"The producers have also told me about other storylines they have planned for Michelle that I am very excited about."
A friend of Kym's told The People the actress had felt out of the big storylines after ten months on maternity leave but was delighted to be involved in some juicy plotlines.
They said: "Michelle is one of [i]Corrie's most popular characters and they were worried about losing yet another pretty female face."
