One Direction seem to have made a hit during their time on the Nickelodeon's iCarly.
Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson performed in the programme.
It is rumoured that the network would like to offer the boyband their own show, after they attracted thousands of fans while in the States.
The lads sang their debut single What Makes You Beautiful for the one-off special.
A source told Now magazine: "Simon [Cowell] has vowed to launch them on the US X Factor, while Nickelodeon are in talks to give them their own show."
However, it was rumoured that the lads' American record label wanted to make Harry the band's frontman.
A source said: "They decided long ago that Harry is a natural front man.
"He's funny, confident and has a great voice."
The boys intend to stick together and don't want a lead singer or front man.
An insider told the Daily Star: "They are determined to carry on the way they have been - without a lead singer.
"Harry certainly hasn't asked for all this attention."
