Emmerdale’s Kelvin Fletcher thinks that fans of the soap want to see Debbie and Andy getting back together.
Andy’s feelings for Debbie have grown since the pair slept together in a bid to find a donor for their daughter Sarah, who is seriously ill and needs a bone marrow transplant, and although Debbie is happy with Cameron, Andy isn’t going to give her up without a fight.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, Kelvin revealed: “Andy and Debbie already have one child together and another on the way, so it’d be understandable if they did reunite.
“I think the fans want them back together, especially people on Twitter, but by the same token, Debbie and Cameron make a really good couple and I enjoy watching them together.”
Cameron flies into a furious rage next week when he finds out the truth about how Debbie’s baby was conceived, but Andy isn’t scared of his love rival – he just wants to be with the woman he loves.
“Andy’s never been physically scared of anyone,” Kelvin explained. “Being frightened of Cameron hasn’t even crossed his mind. Cameron can warn him off Debbie all he likes, but that doesn’t bother Andy.”
Although Andy wants Debbie back, he is desperate for Sarah to get better and will do anything to save his little girl’s life. Kelvin explained:
“The most important thing for Andy is that Sarah gets well again. It’s all about his little girl. Andy genuinely loves Debbie, but Sarah comes first for him.”
